HISTORY
How it all began.
- 1907
Founded by Albert Angehrn as a metalworking shop. The first ALBA tools take shape — bent and welded by hand.
- 1930s
The company grows and production becomes mechanised. ALBA tools become a firm pillar of the business.
- 2002
The Krapf family takes over ALBA and builds up exports — ALBA equipment travels beyond the Swiss border.
- Today
In-house developments for garden and construction. A Swiss site with warehouse and assembly — now joined by a site in Bulgaria for direct deliveries within the EU.
- 2027
120 years of ALBA. We keep building.

Work in the region.
We deliberately place assembly and packaging in other hands — firmly and for many years with Heimstätten Wil and HPV Uzwil-Flawil. Regional partners, reliable collaboration, genuine participation.
Steel is good for the environment — when it lasts.
The longest-lasting is the most sustainable: equipment that stays in use for decades conserves resources. And steel is the most recycled material in the world.
We produce within Europe, keep transport routes short and since 2021 have been a member of swisscleantech.
Packaging that thinks ahead.
We ship in flat-folding cardboard made of environmentally friendly material — space-saving in transport and easy to dispose of.
